During a meeting with CNPC Board Chairman Dai Houliang in Beijing, Turkmen National Leader and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov confirmed his intention to continue exchanging experiences and developing partnerships in the gas sector, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The parties emphasized that the Turkmen-Chinese partnership in the oil and gas sector serves as a clear example of effective interstate relations. Its concrete results include the implementation of a joint project to build a gas pipeline supplying Turkmen natural gas to China, as well as the creation of thousands of new jobs during the phased development of the Galkynysh field.
Speaking about regional projects, the National Leader emphasized the strategic importance of the Serhetabat-Herat section as part of the TAPI gas pipeline.
Dai Houliang confirmed the corporation's commitment to developing cooperation with Turkmenistan in the fuel and energy sector and to consistently fulfilling its partnership obligations responsibly.
