Football Association of Thailand (FAT) President Nualphan Lamsam has promised national team head coach Anthony Hudson a bonus of 3 million baht (approximately 88 thousand USD) if the team qualifies for the 2027 Asian Cup, Vietnam.vn reports.
According to the publication, the head of the FAT personally met with the national team coach on the morning of March 11 and presented him with a symbolic reward of 300 baht in honor of his birthday. An additional bonus will be paid to the coach if the “War Elephants” win the decisive qualifying match against Turkmenistan, which will take place on March 31 at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok.
Both teams currently have 12 points in group D. However, Thailand trails Turkmenistan on goal difference after losing the first leg 3-1 in Ashgabat, making a win in the return leg the only way for the Thais to top the group and secure a direct ticket to the final tournament in Saudi Arabia.
