A dialogue on the role of women diplomats in society was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

An interactive dialogue on the topic "The Role of Women Diplomats in Society and Their Achievements" was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event was part of the second regional training for young diplomats and civil servants from Central Asian countries and was organized jointly with the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The forum was attended by female employees of diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, institute faculty, and students.

During the Dialogue, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan Rana Abu Hijleh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Turkmenistan Faryal Leghari, Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Turkmenistan Narine Sahakyan, and Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Chinar Rustemova spoke.

The speakers placed particular emphasis on the importance of Turkmenistan's policy of permanent neutrality, which serves as a model for promoting peace initiatives and establishing a trusting dialogue in international relations.

The dialogue became an effective platform for enriching the professional experience of young specialists and once again demonstrated the important role of women in the peacekeeping diplomacy of neutral Turkmenistan, the source notes.
