The Sarakhs, Artyk, Hovdan, and Altyn Asyr customs checkpoints on the Turkmen-Iranian border are operating normally and at their full capacity, according to the press service of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
A range of measures are being implemented at checkpoints to ensure the prompt passage of vehicles and cargo and prevent queues.
These measures facilitate the timely delivery of both Turkmen exports and imported goods.
Checkpoints on the Turkmen-Iranian border play a significant role in transit traffic: they are used to deliver cargo to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and several other countries, the department noted.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported that as of March 4, more than 200 people from 16 countries, including Central Asian states, China, Russia, the United States, Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and other countries, had entered Turkmenistan from Iran.
