The ministry emphasized Turkmenistan's commitment to the principles of international law and its status of permanent neutrality.

The statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' press service reads:

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan expresses concern about the escalation of tensions in the Middle East and notes that it is regrettable that the escalation occurred against the backdrop of diplomatic efforts to resolve the situation in the region.

Turkmenistan, which has a status of permanent neutrality recognized by the UN, reiterates that the resolution of all complex international issues must be carried out on the basis of the UN Charter and international law, using only political and diplomatic means and methods."
