During her official visit to Tbilisi, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova met with Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili. This was reported on the Mejlis website.
During the meeting, the Turkmen side noted that the friendly relations between the two countries in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, which have existed for many years, are actively developing, including through support for each other's initiatives within authoritative international organizations.

The parties noted that cooperation in international law plays a significant role in the further development of broad, equal, and mutually beneficial relations between the two countries. They emphasized that this cooperation contributes to the further strengthening of friendship and brotherhood between peoples and the support of interstate relations through parliamentary diplomacy.
Intensifying cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy, transport and logistics, industry, including the introduction of new technologies in various sectors, has a positive impact on economic development.
