Brazilian “Santos” forward Neymar admitted he could retire from professional football in December 2026. He made the announcement in an interview with the Brazilian channel Caze.
"I don't know what's next. I might want to retire in December. I'm taking things one year at a time," the 33-year-old forward said.
Neymar previously extended his contract with his hometown club “Santos” until the end of 2026. According to the player, the coming year is especially significant for him, both in terms of his performance for the club and in connection with the upcoming World Cup, in which he hopes to play for the Brazilian national team.
