The first bilateral business forum between the European Union and Turkmenistan will take place in Ashgabat on March 26, according to EU Ambassador to Turkmenistan Beata Peksa.
"The EU-Turkmenistan Business Forum will be held in Ashgabat on March 26. This will be the first bilateral business forum. We know that many people want to participate, including representatives from trade and industry associations. We are very interested in being here," she said at a joint briefing by the EU delegation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
According to the ambassador, the forum aims to strengthen economic ties and develop private sector cooperation between the two sides. Peksa also noted that 2025 has yielded tangible results in priority areas of cooperation, including transport connectivity, trade, and the green transition.
The briefing focused on the results of EU-Turkmenistan cooperation in 2025 and strategic priorities for 2026. The event was attended by ambassadors of EU member states, representatives of Turkmen government agencies, civil society organizations, and partners implementing EU-funded projects.
