Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov took part in a joint meeting of the heads of foreign affairs agencies of Germany and Central Asian countries with representatives of the German business community, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
In its speech, the Turkmen side emphasized its long-standing positive experience of cooperation with German companies and financial institutions.
Special gratitude was expressed to the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations for its systematic work in developing business ties, including organizing the "Turkmenistan Economy Days" in Frankfurt am Main in October 2025.
Gurbanov identified transport and logistics, modernization of railway infrastructure, development of the Turkmenbashy International Seaport, and the participation of German companies in the development of the East-West transit corridors and the Middle Route between Asia and Europe as priority areas.
He named energy, including hydrogen projects and the "green transformation," the chemical industry, textiles, agriculture, the water sector, information technology, and artificial intelligence as promising areas of cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the financial and banking sectors, as well as successful partnerships in healthcare.
The Turkmen side expressed its readiness to intensify cooperation with German companies both bilaterally and within the framework of the “Central Asia-Germany” format.
