Students from the Young Olympians Training School attended a training session with the “Arkadag” football club at the Olympic Stadium in Ashgabat. The event was organized with the support of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, as reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

At the 45 thousand-seat Olympic Stadium, young athletes watched the “Arkadag” team train for their AFC Champions League Round of 16 match against Saudi Arabia's “Al-Nassr”. Watching these renowned footballers prepare left an unforgettable impression on the youngsters, the publication notes.

The football club players spoke with the school's students and presented them with commemorative gifts on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, including footballs and sweets.

During the visit, the participants also visited the Olympic Village Museum, where they learned about the history of the 2017 V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

The young athletes expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to visit the Olympic Village and pledged their commitment to enhancing the country's sporting prestige.
