22-year-old Turkmenistan national team striker Dayanch Meredov scored his debut goal for “Arkadag” in a friendly match during a training camp in Antalya, Türkiye.

In a match against Kosovo's “Feronikeli”, Meredov opened his goal account for his new club. The second goal was scored by Didar Durdyev, the top scorer in the Turkmenistan championship for the past three seasons. The match ended with a 2-0 victory for “Arkadag”.

Meredov transferred to “Arkadag” from “Kopetdag” on January 6; this friendly match was his first match for the club.

The Turkmen team's opponent, “Feronikeli”, plays in the Kosovo Premier League, where after 18 rounds it ranks second with 39 points, one point behind leader “Vushtria”.

“Arkadag” is holding a training camp in Turkey from January 12 to February 2. The team is preparing for the new season, which begins on February 11 with a match in the AFC Champions League Round of 16 against Saudi Arabia's “Al-Nassr”. Head coach Vladimir Bayramov's side will play their first match at the Olympic Stadium in Ashgabat. Kickoff is at 18:45.

The Ashgabat City Hall has launched online ticket sales for the match. Tickets can be purchased at www.ashgabat.gov.tm.
