Days of Azerbaijani Culture are planned for Turkmenistan in 2026. This was announced following a meeting between Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Ashgabat, Gismet Gezalov.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, during the meeting, the parties discussed current areas of Turkmen-Azerbaijani relations in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Particular attention was paid to the organization of visits at the highest and high levels, as well as meetings between leaders and representatives of the two fraternal countries.

The diplomats discussed preparations for events planned for the current year, including the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Azerbaijani Commission on Economic Cooperation in Ashgabat.

Having emphasized that the current year is the Year of the Horse according to the Eastern calendar, and in Turkmenistan is being celebrated under the motto "Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged steeds," the parties examined in detail the possibilities for developing cooperation in the field of horse breeding and equestrian sports.
