The number of bank cards in Turkmenistan reached 6,33 million in 2025, an increase of more than 330 108 thousand over the past year, according to data published on the official website of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.

As of January 1, 2025, there were 5,99 million bank cards in circulation, and by the beginning of 2026, this number had reached 6,33 million, representing an annual growth rate of 5,5%.

The State Commercial Bank "Dayhanbank" remains the leader in terms of number of cards issued, with 2,17 million cards. In second place is the State Commercial Bank "Turkmenistan" with 1,17 million cards, and third place is held by the Joint-Stock Commercial Bank "Halkbank" with 1,07 million cards.

Regionally, the largest number of bank cards is concentrated in the capital, Ashgabat, with 1,89 million. Among the velayats, Mary leads with 1,14 million cards, followed by Lebap with 1,08 million cards.
