“Real” defeated “Atletico” 2-1 in the semifinal of the Spanish Super Cup. The tournament is being held in Saudi Arabia.

Goals for the winners were scored by Federico Valverde in the second minute and Rodrigo in the 55th minute. Alexander Sørloth scored for “Atletico” in the 59th minute.

In the final, which will take place on January 11, “Real” will face “Barcelona”. The Catalan club previously defeated “Athletic” 5-0.

Since the 2019/20 season, the Spanish Super Cup has been held as a mini-tournament involving four teams.
