Developing entrepreneurship in Turkmenistan's agriculture sector is key to strengthening food security and increasing the competitiveness of the country's agro-industrial complex, reports the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.
State support for entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector, the creation of favorable conditions for doing business, and the attraction of investment contribute to an increase in agricultural production volumes, an expansion of the product range, and an improvement in its quality.
Developing infrastructure in rural areas is crucial, including building roads, warehouses, logistics centers, and other facilities for storing, processing, and transporting produce.
Entrepreneurship promotion facilitates agricultural diversification and the development of new areas, such as organic farming, exotic crop cultivation, livestock farming, and poultry farming. Supporting innovation and implementing modern technologies can increase yields, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
The processing industry is a key driver of development, enabling the creation of added value and increasing the country's export potential. Particular attention is paid to the production of environmentally friendly products that are in demand in both domestic and international markets.
Local producers successfully compete with foreign suppliers, ensuring Turkmenistan's food security, the publication notes.
