Rovshan Muhadov has left the “Arkadag” football club due to the expiration of his contract. The specialist announced this to the online publication Turkmenportal.
According to the coach, the two sides thanked each other for their cooperation and wished each other success in their future endeavors.
"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the “Arkadag” fans for their loyalty and support throughout my tenure at the club. I wish the club success in the upcoming games and am confident that “Arkadag” will continue to delight you with victories," noted Rovshan Muhadov.
As a reminder, in September 2025, “Arkadag”, on the eve of the AFC Champions League II group stage, added Rovshan Muhadov to the team as head coach. Muhadov holds the Asian Football Confederation's PRO coaching license. The club's current head coach, Vladimir Bayramov, continued to lead the coaching staff. However, according to AFC regulations, due to the lack of the required PRO license, Rovshan Muhadov assumed the “Arkadag” head coaching position for the tournament.
Under the guidance of the coaching staff, “Arkadag” reached the round of 16 of Asia's second-tier club Champions League for the first time in its history. In the group stage, the team finished second in group “B” with one win, four draws, and one loss.
In the AFC Champions League Round of 16, “Arkadag” will face Saudi Arabian club “Al-Nassr”, whose squad includes a number of world stars, including Cristiano Ronaldo. The first leg will take place on February 11 in Turkmenistan, with the return leg taking place on February 18 in Saudi Arabia.
