Chinese automaker BYD will sell approximately 2,26 million electric cars in 2025, surpassing American automaker Tesla in this figure in the global market, according to Xinhua News Agency.
According to the agency, China's largest manufacturer of alternative energy vehicles, BYD, achieved sales of 2,26 million all-electric vehicles last year, surpassing its American competitor.
By comparison, Tesla sold approximately 1,63 million electric vehicles during the same period, Xinhua notes.
The agency emphasizes that the Chinese company is demonstrating a steady growth in its presence in the European market, while simultaneously expanding into Latin America and Southeast Asia. BYD products are sold in more than 110 countries and territories worldwide, positioning the corporation as one of the most dynamically developing Chinese auto exporters.
