On New Year's Eve, Novar Gylyjova, a resident of the village of Dayhan in the Akdepe etrap, celebrated her 110th birthday. She celebrated the occasion surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and fellow villagers. In the village, she is known as the pillar of the extended family, according to the newspaper "Turkmenistan."
Novar-ene has three sons, two daughters, 16 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The family is expecting a new addition soon. All of Novar-ene's children and most of her grandchildren have dedicated their lives to teaching, earning the family the nickname "the family of teachers" in the village. Novar-ene's son, Tirkesh, has been a labor teacher at the local Secondary School No. 39 for 55 years.
"I've been blessed to see the fruits of my labor and live in abundance," the birthday girl shared. "All my children have created strong families, and many of my grandchildren are now independent."
Novar Gylyjova worked in agriculture her entire life. According to the centenarian, the secret to her long life is good wishes, honesty, and caring for her children.
The entire family gathers together for the New Year holidays. The eldest grandson works as a teacher in the Ahal region and regularly keeps in touch with his grandmother.
While congratulating her compatriots on the New Year, the 110-year-old resident of Turkmenistan wished everyone health, longevity, and prosperity.
