Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a New Year's greeting to Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the “Watan” news program reported.
"I warmly recall our recent conversation in Ashgabat during a prestigious international forum, the success of which clearly confirmed Turkmenistan's international standing and the world community's high appreciation for the policy of neutrality your country has consistently pursued for three decades," the message reads.
The Russian leader expressed confidence in continuing close collaboration to develop a deep strategic partnership between Russia and Turkmenistan. Putin emphasized that such cooperation benefits the friendly peoples of both countries and strengthens security and stability in Central Asia and the Caspian region.
The Russian President wished Serdar Berdimuhamedov good health, happiness, and success in his government work, and the citizens of Turkmenistan well-being and prosperity.
