Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed condolences to King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand and President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia over the loss of life caused by the floods in those countries, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
"The head of state expressed words of sincere sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims at this difficult time, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured," the statement said.
According to foreign media reports, natural disasters, including floods and cyclones, that have affected the region, including Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Thailand, have killed more than 1 thousand people, and hundreds are still missing.
