A celebratory event commemorating the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Kerki etrap Central Library was held in Kerki, Lebap velayat, Turkmenistan.
The forum was attended by library staff, representatives of public organizations, and political parties in the etrap.
During the event, along with new books published in the country, collections of children's works by American authors, translated into Turkmen by the US Embassy in Turkmenistan, were donated to the library's collection.
Currently, the Central Library of the Kerki etrap and its branches holds 93 074 books, according to the Turkmen Gundogary newspaper.
