National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working visit to the Balkan velayat to review preparations for the international conference "The Role of Women in Modern Society: Developing International Cooperation for Sustainable Development," the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.

A conference marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality will be held on December 10 at the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone.

During his visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular working meeting of the State Organizing Committee, established in accordance with the Decree of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to hold high-level events to mark the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality.
