The parties agreed on the legal terms of the joint trade center, which is intended to become a platform for expanding mutual trade, promoting national products, and developing entrepreneurship on both sides of the border.

The total area of the center is 6 hectares: 3 hectares each on the Uzbek and Turkmen sides. If necessary, the territory can be expanded under a separate international agreement.
Citizens of both countries can enter and exit the border trade zone without visas. Entrepreneurs from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will be able to freely trade goods using shared infrastructure and simplified procedures.
