Staff at the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan congratulated Ashgabat-based World War II veteran Nina Samutkina on her 94th birthday, the diplomatic mission's press service reported.
"We wholeheartedly congratulate Nina Grigoryevna on her birthday and wish her good health, prosperity, and all the best!" the statement read.
During the war, Nina Grigoryevna lived in Alma-Ata and worked alongside her peers in a local military hospital, helping treat wounded Red Army soldiers, the press service added.
