Turkish Airlines, Turkey's national carrier, and Gulf Air, Bahrain's flagship airline, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand their strategic partnership. The document was signed at Turkish Airlines' headquarters in Istanbul by Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşı and Gulf Air Group CEO Geoffrey Goh, in the presence of both companies' executives.
According to the document, the parties intend to develop cooperation in a number of key areas: concluding strategic partnership agreements, launching joint projects, mutual recognition of loyalty bonus programs, and providing ground handling services.
Furthermore, the airlines plan to jointly expand their route networks, including new strategic destinations, building on existing direct flights between Turkey and Bahrain. The parties believe the signed memorandum will be an important step in strengthening business, cultural, and social ties between the two countries.
