On August 13, the Turkmen football club "Ahal" will play away against the Tajik "Regar-TadAZ" in the preliminary round of the AFC Champions League-2 of the 2025/26 season.
The match will take place in Tursunzade at the "TALCO Arena" stadium and will start at 17:00 Ashgabat time. The winner of the match will get into the group stage of the AFC Champions League-2, the loser will continue to play in the group round of the AFC Challenge League.
Velsahet Ovezov's team arrived in Dushanbe the day before, where they are conducting intensive preparations for the upcoming meeting.
“The "Ahal" football club has currently begun intensive training in Dushanbe for the upcoming match with the "Regar-TadAZ" football club,” the "Ahal" press service said in a statement.
Before leaving for Tajikistan, "Ahal" beat "Nebitchi" (2:0) in a match of the Turkmenistan championship.
