Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Chairman of the Japan-Turkmenistan Committee on Economic Cooperation Hiroyuki Tsubai and Executive Director, General Manager of the Plant Design Business Unit of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. Kenji Sanada. This was reported by the country's Foreign Ministry.

The meeting participants highly appreciated the long-term cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japanese companies in the oil and gas and gas chemical industries, transport, agriculture, energy and ecology.

The parties emphasized the important role of the Turkmen-Japanese and Japanese-Turkmen Committees on Economic Cooperation in the development of bilateral relations.

During the negotiations, the progress of current joint projects was reviewed, and prospects for expanding cooperation in new areas were discussed.
