The first participants of the semi-final stage of the Turkmenistan Football Cup have been determined. This was reported by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan.
“Arkadag” footballers beat “Nebitchi” in the return quarterfinal match of the Turkmenistan Cup. The meeting in Balkanabat ended with a score of 3:1. Begench Akmammedov (7th minute), Shanazar Tirkishov (13) and Didar Durdyev (49) scored for the winners. “Nebitchi's” goal was scored by Hydyr Yakubov (43, pen). “Arkadag” won the first match with a score of 6:0.
“Ahal” managed to beat “Kopetdag”, winning the second match by a minimal 1:0. The only goal was scored by Dayanch Meredov (8th minute). The visitors' task became easier in the 78th minute, when “Kopetdag” was left with one man down after Batyr Geldiyev was sent off. The first meeting between the teams ended in a goalless 0:0 draw.
In the semi-final of the tournament, “Arkadag” will meet the winner of the match between “Ashgabat” and “Altyn Asyr”. “Ahal's” opponent will be determined based on the results of the match between “Merv” and “Shagadam”.
