Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, took part in the first “Central Asia – European Union” Summit.
“Being deeply interested in the formation of a reliable collective security system and further integration into the global political and economic space, Turkmenistan, which today occupies key positions in the Central Asian region, takes the most active part in high-level meetings, making a significant contribution to the development of dialogue in the interests of peace and universal well-being.
A clear confirmation of our country's desire to use existing opportunities to expand effective relations across a vast geographic area and resolve pressing issues on the global agenda was the programmatic speech of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the first “Central Asia-European Union” Summit, the statement of State News Agency of Turkmenistan said.
