The construction of a modern ecological city is planned in the Kemin district of the Chui region of Kyrgyzstan. The decree on the creation of Kemin City has already been signed by the head of state Sadyr Japarov, writes daily.afisha.ru.
According to published data from RBC, the project is estimated at 45.74 billion dollars. An area of more than 353 hectares has been allocated for development, which has already received the status of lands of populated areas instead of the previous category of agricultural land.
By mid-2025, the authorities intend to develop and approve the construction concept, as well as hold negotiations with potential investors and conclude the necessary agreements. According to President Japarov, the creation of the eco-city will be an important milestone in the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan.
