President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, President of the World Aquatics Organization Hussein Al-Musallam, TDH reports.
During the meeting, the priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan in the field of physical culture and sports, as well as international cooperation in this area were discussed.
Turkmenistan actively cooperates with the International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Council of Asia and other international organizations, seeking to expand regional and international partnership.
Particular attention was paid to the development of water sports, which contribute to the education of physically strong and healthy young people.
As noted, thanks to the international competitions regularly held in Turkmenistan, the cultural and spiritual values of the Turkmen people, unique national traditions and customs, economic achievements, successes in science, education, and art are widely popularized in the world.
