The Russian cancer vaccine has successfully completed preclinical trials, and is now expected to begin the first phase of clinical trials after receiving permission from the Russian Ministry of Health. This was reported by the chief oncologist of the Russian Ministry of Health, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Andrei Kaprin in an interview with TASS.

He noted that the corresponding letter has already been sent to the Ministry of Health to obtain permission to start the first phase of testing. As soon as permission is received, information on the recruitment of volunteers with medical indications will be published on the official website.

Kaprin also stressed that the vaccine will be contraindicated for patients undergoing incomplete chemotherapy, and such patients may be denied vaccination until the completion of the course of treatment.
