On July 5, the second round of the presidential elections of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be held in Turkmenistan.
The Iranian Embassy in Ashgabat reports that Iranian citizens living in Turkmenistan will be able to take part in the elections. Polling stations will be opened at the Iranian embassy in Ashgabat and the consulate general in Mary.
Voting time is from 08:00 to 18:00 Turkmen time. For the convenience of Iranian drivers, a mobile ballot box will operate at the Lotfabad and Ashgabat terminals.
In the first round, held last week, two candidates were identified who advanced to the second round - Masoud Pezeshkian and Said Jalili. It is between them that Iranian voters will have to make a final choice.
