The delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the eighth regional meeting of the heads of border agencies of the CIS member states, which was held in Khiva on March 28.

According to the IIC, the meeting was also attended by delegations of border agencies from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The participants discussed the influence of modern geopolitical factors on the complex of challenges and threats to border security on the external borders of the Central Asian region and developed measures to counter them, the source notes.
