In Tokyo, a meeting was held between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Secretary General of the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan Yoshimasa Hayashi, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
The parties discussed bilateral relations and prospects for further development of cooperation.
The minister noted the high dynamics of development of relations between countries in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres. Regular political dialogue at the highest level was called the basis for effective interaction.
The issues of holding the first Summit of Heads of State of the “Central Asia + Japan” dialogue were also discussed. Turkmenistan supports the organization of this Forum, Meredov said.
Particular attention was paid to trade and economic ties, which are becoming long-term. A number of joint projects in the energy and gas chemistry industries have already been successfully implemented.
“Priorities for further cooperation in the field of energy, industry, investment, as well as in the fields of culture, science and education have been identified”, - reports the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
