At these moments, the national teams of Hong Kong and Turkmenistan are meeting in the second round match of the qualifying tournament for the 2026 FIFA World Cup within Group “E”. The teams play at Hong Kong Stadium. After the first half, Turkmenistan wins the home team with a score of 2:1.
Midfielder Ruslan Mingazov scored a double for the Turkmen team. Wai Wong scored the only goal for the Hong Kong national team.
The teams have already met in the qualifying tournament for the 2010 World Cup as part of the 1st round of qualification. Then in Hong Kong the teams separated peacefully (0:0), and in Ashgabat the Turkmenistan team won with a score of 3:0. Vladimir Bayramov, Arif Mirzoev and Mekan Nasyrov scored goals.
Let us note that in a parallel match of Group “E” the Uzbekistan team will meet with the Iranian team in Tashkent today.
