Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov accepted copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan Gismat Fuzuli oglu Gozalov, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Meredov congratulated Gozalov on his appointment and expressed the readiness of the Turkmen side to provide him with full support.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current aspects of bilateral cooperation on political, economic and cultural issues.

They also exchanged views on the prospects for further development of partnership between the two countries within the framework of international organizations, primarily the UN.

Speaking about trade and economic cooperation, the parties noted the growth in trade turnover and emphasized the great potential for further interaction.

They also agreed to develop cooperation in the field of fuel and energy complex, ecology, transport and logistics.

In addition, the parties noted fruitful cooperation in the fields of education, science, tourism and culture.
