The football team of Turkmenistan played a draw with the team of Bahrain in a friendly match. The match was held in Dubai at the Police Officers' Club Stadium.
The match ended with a score of 1:1. The first goal in the match was scored by the Bahraini midfielder Mohamed Marhoon at the 13th minute. At the 29th minute, Turkmen defender Teymur Charyev equalized.
This is the second meeting of the national team of Turkmenistan within the framework of the September training. On September 8, Turkmen football players lost to the Indonesian team (0:2) in a friendly match.
Mergen Orazov, the head coach of the Turkmenistan national team, said earlier that friendly matches are an important stage in the preparation for the qualifying tournament for the 2026 World Cup.
Let us remind that in the qualifying tournament, the national team of Turkmenistan was placed in group “E” along with Iran, Uzbekistan and the winner of the first qualifying round match Hong Kong - Bhutan.
The national team of Turkmenistan will play the first match in the qualifying tournament at home on November 16 against the national team of Uzbekistan.
