From August 14 to 25, 2023, a joint training camp for cyclists from Turkmenistan and the UAE is being held in Ashgabat. The Abu Dhabi Cycling Club came to the capital of Turkmenistan to prepare for the upcoming competitions and exchange experience with Turkmen colleagues.

Training takes place at different distances and landscapes, including the Olympic village and the foothills of the Kopetdag. Athletes overcome daily from 60 to 110 kilometers, testing their strength and endurance. The foreign guests were especially impressed by the beauty of the mountain town of Gekdere, where they spent the first day of training, the MIC of Turkmenistan reports.

The joint gathering not only contributes to the improvement of sportsmanship, but also to the strengthening of friendly ties between the fraternal peoples of Turkmenistan and the UAE. Cyclists find time to relax, visit the pool, walk around the city and get to know the culture and traditions of the country.

The gathering is a good opportunity to exchange new ideas and plans for the development of cycling in both countries. Athletes express their hope for continued cooperation and participation in joint events in the future.
