1. On August 4, Ashgabat will host a trilateral summit in the format “Turkmenistan - Tajikistan – Uzbekistan”. The event will be attended by Presidents Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The Turkmen capital is preparing for the upcoming event with all thoroughness. 2. Turkmenistan plans to propose at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, which will begin on September 12 in New York, to establish the World Day of Turkic Languages. Among other initiatives that will be announced at the UN General Assembly is the holding of the founding meeting of the Central Asian Youth Dialogue in Turkmenistan, as well as the organization in 2024, together with UNESCO and TURKSOY of the International Week of Turkic Languages, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen classic poet Magtymguly Fragi.

3. In Turkmenistan, there is a demand for cards of the Russian payment system “Mir”. Russian Ambassador to Ashgabat Ivan Volynkin spoke about this in an interview with TASS. According to him, Russian bank cards, including the “Mir” payment system, may be necessary for Turkmen students who study at Russian universities, tourists and businessmen who often travel to Russia.

4. On the first day of the new academic year, the solemn opening ceremony of the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev will be held in the city of Arkadag. These days, entrance exams to universities and vocational schools have begun in the country. The admission campaign will last until August 28.

5. Exactly one year ago, a baby Nile crocodile appeared at the National Museum of Wildlife of Turkmenistan - the only one who hatched from five eggs. His appearance in the zoo was expected for more than 10 years. The caretaker looked after him with great care: he fed him with fish and chicken. At this time, the crocodile is growing, actively developing and gaining weight. The Nile crocodile is not the only representative of the African continent in the Turkmen zoo. Zebras, giraffes, African buffaloes and ostriches live here.

6. Uzbekistan wants to increase cotton yields with the help of Indian technologies. Indian methods will be used to create elite seeds that will yield a yield of 50 to 70 centners. Seeds should arrive in the country in September. This was discussed at a meeting between the country's Minister of Agriculture Aziz Voitov and a representative of the Indian company Nath Bio-Genes.

7. The Tilos Greek Island in the Mediterranean has been officially certified as the world's first zero-waste island. 90% of all waste on the island is recycled or used as a base for natural fertilizers. Work to reduce the amount of waste on Tilos began in 2021. Residents began to receive special bags for sorting garbage, to conduct conversations with them on proper waste management. Garbage removal and disposal are monitored using a special monitoring system.

The match of the 10th round between “Energetik” and “Ahal”, scheduled for August 4 within the framework of the Turkmenistan Football Championship among teams of the Major League, has been postponed to a reserve date. 9. Participants of the II Games of the CIS countries began to arrive in Belarus, which will be held from August 4 to 14. One of the first to arrive were athletes from Turkmenistan. The country's sports delegation consists of 110 people. Approximately 80 athletes will compete in 13 sports, most of which are martial arts. It is expected that the competition will attract more than 6 thousand people, including 4 thousand athletes, 900 coaches and 800 judges. The multisport forum of the CIS countries will be held in 11 cities of Belarus.
