Participants of the II Games of the CIS countries, which will be held from August 4 to 14, began to arrive in Belarus today. The teams of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan were the first to arrive, BelTA informs.
The sports delegation of Turkmenistan consists of 110 people. Approximately 80 athletes will compete in 13 sports, most of which are martial arts - boxing, Thai boxing, karate, judo, sambo, Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling, as well as athletics, 3x3 basketball (men), archery.
It is expected that the competition will attract more than 6 thousand people, including 4 thousand athletes, 900 coaches and 800 judges. The multisport forum of the CIS countries will be held in 11 cities of Belarus.
