The delegation of the International Information Center under the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography is taking part in the ABU Global News Forum 2023, which is taking place these days in the city of Kuching (Malaysia).
On the first day of the event, leading news agencies from more than 30 countries of the world discussed the priorities of information policy for the next 12 months, advanced training, the creation of an international audience group, as well as the role of the media in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
According to the MIC of Turkmenistan, bilateral meetings were also held between representatives of various news agencies and members of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union.
It should be noted that the forum was chaired by ABU Secretary General Ahmed Nadeem with the participation of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the Arab Broadcasting Union (ASBU) and the African Broadcasting Union (AUB).
