Seven people became victims of flooding due to prolonged heavy rains in Iran, the MIR 24 portal reported, citing information from the local Red Crescent Society.
Heavy rainfall hit 12 Iranian provinces. Seven of the dead citizens lived in the province of Ardabil in the north of the country, two more are missing on the way to Tehran.
The Iranian authorities provided assistance to 5 000 flood victims, 111 of them provided new housing.
