The export of greenhouse tomatoes from Turkmenistan abroad since the beginning of 2022 has increased approximately 50% to 80 thousand tons, reports the official website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
The main reason for the export growth is the increase in production volume. The first crops of tomatoes grown in greenhouses for the winter are already sent to foreign countries in these autumn days.
Tomatoes in Turkmenistan are produced in greenhouse conditions all year round. For this purpose, enterprises of Turkmenistan use European equipment and advanced technologies.
Turkmen entrepreneurs grow various productive kinds of tomatoes, including cherry tomatoes, rugantino, fulton, which gained great popularity in the world.
In accordance with the data of the custom service, leaders in delivers abroad are onion (10 thousand tons), grain crops (16 thousand tons) and lentils (7 thousand tons).
The product of Turkmen exporters is carried out successfully to Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan.
The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan has implemented work to simplify customs procedures for the export of goods, and also set up electronic clearance of export goods using an integrated customs information system.
