By decree of the President of Turkmenistan, Muhammedov Gurbangeldy Allayarovich was appointed the rector of the Turkmen state pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi.

Earlier, G. Muhammedov held the position of Vice-rector for scientific work of the Turkmen state University named after Makhtumkuli, the information program "Watan" of the Turkmen television reported.
