The state migration service of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the regional coordinator of the International organization for migration (IOM) for Central Asia, Zeynal Hadjiev.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the issues of ensuring the rights of migrants and the Global Treaty on safe, orderly and legal migration are considered by Turkmenistan as priority areas of cooperation with authoritative international organizations.
The parties discussed the significance of the national action plan of Turkmenistan to combat human trafficking for 2020-2022.
During the talks, it was noted that systematic work is being carried out in our country to eliminate the phenomenon of statelessness and the corresponding national action plan for 2019-2024 is being implemented.
They also exchanged views on the implementation of the plan between Turkmenistan and the IOM for 2020, as well as on the regional project for the exchange of preliminary information about passengers.
