"Turkmenistan has put a reliable barrier to dangerous infectious diseases," President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said at a working meeting today with the participation of Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, hyakims of the velayats and the capital, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, relevant ministries and departments, as well as members of the Emergency Commission to combat the spread of diseases.

According to the state news Agency of Turkmenistan, the agenda of the meeting included issues of disease prevention and improvement of medical services for the population. Aspects of developing a strategy to prevent the spread of infectious diseases were also discussed.

The President of Turkmenistan stressed that the activities aimed at improving the health of the country's citizens are based primarily on the social policy of the state, legislative support, improvement of the sphere of medical services, care for the environment, and approval of the principles of a healthy lifestyle in the minds of each of us. In this context, the importance of explanatory work was noted.

Today, protecting people's health is the most important priority of the state's social policy. The country is carrying out a set of appropriate preventive measures, which significantly reduces the risk of the disease, the Turkmen leader stated.

The head of state instructed the relevant leaders to systematically organize media appearances and conduct explanatory work and educational events in order to comply with hygiene rules and cleanliness standards.

At the end of the workshop, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished the participants success in solving their tasks.
