Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov met with the Head of the office of the UN environment Program for Central Asia Aidai Kurmanova, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in The international conference "Turkmenistan and international organizations: cooperation for peace and development".
The parties discussed the main directions and prospects of cooperation on environmental protection, climate change, resource efficiency and the "green economy".
The attention of the parties was also focused on strengthening cooperation on the implementation of joint projects in the field of achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
As part of Aidai Kurmanova's visit to Turkmenistan, she met with the Minister of agriculture and environmental protection of Turkmenistan, as well as with the Director of the Caspian Sea Institute, the website of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
