The project office of the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) in Turkmenistan assisted eight young professionals and graduates in enrolling at the Central Asian University of Environment and Climate Change (Green University). Four individuals were admitted to master's programs, and another four to bachelor's programs.

On September 18, a meeting took place at the project office between Office Director Mergen Kepbanov and prospective students.

It has been reported that the office supported applicants through every stage of the admission process—from the preparation and submission of documents to the selection process and interviews. All eight students also obtained student visas.

At the meeting, Mergen Kepbanov congratulated the students on their admission and wished them success in their studies. He emphasized that studying in an international educational environment enables them to acquire new knowledge, familiarize themselves with modern practices, and expand their professional networks.

"It is important for us not only to implement environmental projects but also to support young professionals who will be able to contribute to the development of the environmental sector in the future." "We are pleased to have the opportunity to assist students in their education and hope that the knowledge and experience they gain during their studies will prove useful in their future professional careers," noted Mergen Kepbanov.

Prospective students shared their expectations regarding their studies, their interests, and their professional plans. The office director offered them recommendations on academics, professional development, and participation in university and community life.

The university’s programs focus on approaches related to the environment, sustainable development, and the "green" economy. Facilitating student enrollment has been one of the practical outcomes of the collaboration between the CAREC project office in Turkmenistan and the Green University.
