The 111th meeting of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States is taking place today at the “Yyldyz” hotel in Ashgabat. Participants in the meeting include CIS Secretary-General S.N. Lebedev, heads of delegations from CIS member states, and delegation members.
The meeting is chaired by Hojamyrat Geldymyradov, Chairman of the CIS Economic Council and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
The meeting agenda includes a discussion on economic cooperation among the Commonwealth states. In particular, participants will review the activities of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification for the 2023–2026 period.
Another topic on the agenda is the draft concept for developing cooperation among CIS member states in the production of advanced materials for high-tech industries, as well as the action plan for its implementation.
The signing of final documents is scheduled to follow the discussion.
